Each team will present their pitch to a panel of judges\, followed by a Q&A. Up to $5\,000 in prizes will be awarded. The event will be held via Zoom and in-person at the Muse-Norris Conference Center at NIACC with social distancing and masks required. \n12 teams are participating in the North Iowa Venture School this fall. Venture School is a premier statewide program for entrepreneurial training and is built on curriculum developed by the National Science Foundation I-Corps. The Venture School teams will also be eligible to compete for cash awards at the state level at the 2022 EntreFEST Venture School Launch Day Competition. Last year’s North Iowa graduates were awarded $13\,000 in prize money during the 2020 EntreFEST pitch competition. DESCRIPTION:The NIACC Entrepreneur Organization (NEO) is NIACC’s chapter of the National organization\, Collegiate Entrepreneur’s Organization (CEO)\, founded in 1983 and supports more than 16\,500 emerging collegiate entrepreneurs annually. We believe that any student\, regardless of academic discipline can launch a business. \n  \nRequest Meeting Information\n  \nNEO’s mission is to assist student entrepreneurs in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to create and operate a successful new business venture\, while providing value to the campus and the community. Membership is available to all students\, regardless of their major. NEO meets two to three times a month\, usually on Wednesdays at 4:00. Currently\, the club is meeting via zoom. Advisors are Daniel Mulligan\, Business Instructor and Kelley O’Rourke\, Student Entrepreneur Coordinator in the Pappajohn Center. \nWho should join NEO? Students on the NIACC campus who want to get involved in a club and who has thought of starting their own business. Business\, marketing\, and design students\, engineering\, agriculture\, career and industry track students. DESCRIPTION:Feeding a growth mindset using your own goals.\nNIACC students are invited to join this Student Entrepreneur engagement activity – the event is open to all students and recorded by Zoom for access. In-person attendance must abide by NIACC mask and physical distancing guidelines. \nLocation: Pappajohn Center\, Room #117 \nParticipants will create a collage of images and words by cutting out of various magazines. The Vision Board represents the student’s wishes and goals\, intended to serve as inspiration and motivation. It also helps clarify what you want out of your life because it forces you to put something down. It can help define your short and long-term goals and guide the decisions you make along the way. \nStudents have fun searching for the correct images and words\, gluing to poster board. It can be very simple or more complex\, own it! Once finished\, take a screen shot and make it your phone or laptop screensaver!
